Does dancewear need to be purchased at the studio? For our color-coded classes and ballet classes we do require dancewear to be purchased at our "Next Step Boutique". We require our younger students and ballet students to be dressed the same for uniformity, it is helpful to the teacher when making corrections for body alignment. For our tap and jazz students we sell the proper shoes to be worn in class, choice of dancewear is optional.
Can I leave my child during dance class to run a few errands? Yes as long as we have your cell phone number on file you may leave the studio. If you are running late coming back just phone us at the studio. No student will be let out of the danceroom alone an assistant will remain with her until she meets up with a parent.
Where is the recital held, how much are the tickets, do I have to buy a ticket? The recital is held at the Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center at Secaucus High School. The tickets are approximately $21 each. Everyone who needs a seat needs a ticket. Our seats are ticketed seating with assigned seating numbers, you do not need to wait on line on the day of the performance to reserve a seat.
What about costumes, when are they ordered? Will it still fit my child? Students are measured for costumes in November and December because it takes approximately 8 weeks once the orders are placed for them to arrive. We do allow room for growth spurts. We place the orders in time for our spring photo shoot which is held at the studio. Finished photographs are available for purchase one week after photo is taken, but family is not required to purchase.
