All of our students are given an opportunity to reach a goal by performing in our annual dance recitals.
Not only is it exciting and rewarding, but it also increases their technical knowledge and appreciation of the performing arts.
Scholarships
Every year The Next Step School of Dance offers scholarships to our Senior students who are going off to college. We reward them for their talent, potential, positive attitude, academic achievements and other noteworthy attributes. These students are part of our The Next Step School of Dance "family" and we appreciate the opportunity to present them with a scholarship to assist them with their further education.
Our college scholarship recipients for 2011/2012 were Melissa Simone & Katarina Barbosa. These young women have danced with the studio and have been members of the N.C. Dance Company for many years. Not only will they be missed for their dedication but the Senior Company has grown into a close group of talented young ladies and it shows through the work they performed. You will be missed girls but we all wish you the best in college and in the future.
Remember the studio doors will always be open for you!

The Next Step Dance Company The members of the award-winning The Next Step Dance Company are dedicated and talented dancers who perform in local showcases throughout the year. The dancers have performed at Six Flags Great Adventure and Walt Disney World. Advancing students who would like the opportunity for more performance and competition experience are welcome to audition.
Children's Dancing Birthday Parties
Celebrate your Brithday with the Joy of Dance!!
Ages 4 & up...Saturdays only...1:30-3:00p.m. OR 3:30-5:00p.m. Celebrate your next birthday with us. Enjoy a high-energy, fun dance class with your friends, using special props and party games, all with the birthday girl as the guest of honor. Party guests will experience an actual dance lesson learning the latest upbeat dances taught by a certified dance instructor. Birthday girl goes to the head of the class!!! We supply invitations, colorful balloons and tablecloths. You supply cupcakes, boxed drinks, and paper products. Pizza optional and goodie bags/favors optional. Birthday girl and guests should wear comfortable shoes and play clothing. Price = $195.00 for 10-20 guests - any child after 20 is an extra $10. $50.00 deposit required to hold date, remaining $145.00 due day of the party.
Bring a Friend...Students of The Next Step School of Dance may invite a friend to come to one class and dance along with them at no charge. Offered September through November.
Scouting Troops...The Next Step School of Dance offers free dance workshops to scouting troops that are interested in earning their dance badges. Weekdays or Saturdays...Please phone studio (201-804-2995) to check time availability for your troop.
Referal Program...The Next Step School of Dance would like to thank all those who refer new students to our studio with our referal program.
